Building the future

Working with Creative People and Places, the aim of this project was to find out what the people living in Medway would like to see change around Chatham Waterfront area. As students, we were asked to come up with creative ways to gather information. Working with one other student we created a model of that specific area and asked people to use plasticine, words, images and drawings to show what they would like in the area.

INSINCERITY

As the University of Kent is called the European Univerity, I chose to use my final year project to raise awareness of Human Trafficking which is an international problem. The installation intended to imerse the audience into an environment that informed them about the seriousness of the subject. Made up of four 'rooms' the installation portrayed the cramped and dirty living conditions of the victims, the physical and emotional damage that is caused and finally how other people can spot the signs of trafficking.

The installation was kept by a PCSO in the Medway police, so I could be used for future campaigns.
