A Midsummer Night's Dream

My interpretation of A Misummer Night's Dream is set in a clifftop castle and a cave. Caves can be see as a very magical place, not only this, but Greece, where the play is based also has ‘rich geological structure and evolution, thousands of magnificent subterranean and underwater caves were formed both on the mainland and on the islands’. This became the centre to my designs. As caves are underground and formed by the natural weathering of rock I thought about what sits above them. Following this I started to look at castles that are built on hillsides and mountains.
